*Plyometrics are exercises where the muscle is contracted eccentrically then immediately, concentrically. Plyometrics are the best way to improve both strength and speed concurrently. Depending on the exercises selected, they can be extreme or mild in nature. Kaizen Judo Club runs a very mild plyometrics class in order to ensure safety and a good solid workout. Professional athletes do a more extreme version of plyometrics and should be monitored by qualified trainers.
